Hillside Farms!

Sara volunteered a lot of her time at The Lands At Hillside Farms last year. We did take a break but we returned to volunteering Monday! Sara is very excited, we fed the chickens and the sheep and will most likely be adding some brushing the ponies to our duties as well. Sara really enjoys her time there and I enjoy the time we get to spend together in the outdoors. Sara and I were a bit taken back by the chickens, they all quickly escaped their pen and were following her around as soon as we opened the lid to their feed. She was the "chicken lady" for the day. This was our first time feeding the chickens so we were not expecting such excitement. We did feed the sheep last year and Sara was happy to go back to feeding them too. I am very thankful that we have this opportunity so close by, Sara learns a lot that other children don't get to learn and there is always something new and exciting each time we visit.
